Everything goes through one command, /shumi. Discord shows you the options as you type, names autocomplete, and shorthand like ilbis, steelies or zhelm works. Her answers are private to the person who asked, except player ranks, which she posts for everyone.

Real data, with the source on every card

Shumi answers from game and market data, not AI guesses, and every card links the page it came from. The only command that uses AI is /shumi bless, for its good-luck line.

Three steps to the Free Market

Free to use. She doesn't need to read your channels, only to post price alerts where they're set.

Use the Add to Discord button and pick your server.

Type /shumi

Discord lists every command with its options. Names autocomplete as you type.

Server owners Shumi asks for four permissions: View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links and Attach Files. Those are only for price alert pings; her answers to commands don't need any.

Quiet by design

Shumi is built to stay out of your way.

  • Doesn't read your chatShe has no access to message content. She only sees the commands people send her.
  • Private answersReplies are visible only to the person who asked, except rank lookups.
  • Never DMs anyoneNo direct messages, ever. Price alerts ping in the channel where they were set.
  • No surprise postsShe only posts when someone uses a command or a price alert they set goes off.

Terms of Service

Last updated October 19, 2026. By adding Shumi to a server or using her commands, you agree to these terms. Shumi is built and run by the sudocat.dev team.

1.Who can use Shumi

You must meet Discord's minimum age (13, or older where your country requires it) and follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Server admins who add Shumi are responsible for how she is used in their server.

2.Acceptable use

Do not use Shumi to:

  • harass, threaten or target anyone, including through rank lookups or reputation files;
  • file false or malicious reports, or use reputation files to settle grudges;
  • spam commands, overload the bot, or try to make her misbehave;
  • do anything that breaks Discord's rules or the law.

The sudocat.dev team may block users or servers that break these rules, without notice.

3.Game and market data

Prices, listings, shop locations, drop rates, routes, guides and ranks come from community sites and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Listings can sell out at any moment, and the full listing board is refreshed every two hours. Double-check before you rely on anything in game or in a trade. Shumi doesn't buy, sell or hold anything, and isn't part of any trade between players.

4.Alerts and reputation

Price alerts are a convenience: one can be late or missed, and they end after 30 days. Reputation files hold what members of your server reported. They are opinions, not verified facts, and Shumi doesn't vouch for their accuracy. Reputation files are shared with Maia, another sudocat.dev bot, in servers that use both.

5.AI-generated text

Only /shumi bless uses AI, to write a short good-luck line next to the real scroll odds. That line can be odd or wrong and is just for fun: it can't change your odds. Everything else Shumi says comes from the data sources listed above.

6.Third-party services

Shumi relies on outside services, each with its own terms, including Discord, maplestory.market, meowdb, ClassicRank, maple.community and Google Gemini. Shumi partners with ClassicRank and maple.community. She isn't affiliated with the other services, or with Nexon or MapleStory. MapleStory is a trademark of Nexon.

7.Availability and disclaimers

Shumi is provided as is, for free, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or that any feature will keep working. She may be changed, paused or shut down at any time. To the extent the law allows, the sudocat.dev team is not liable for any loss or damage from using Shumi, including bad trades or missed deals.

8.Ending use

You can stop using Shumi at any time by removing her from your server or not using her commands. The sudocat.dev team can end anyone's access for breaking these terms.

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026. Shumi stores very little, only what her features need, and never sells data or uses it for advertising.

Character info from ClassicRank (level, job, fame, ranks, photo) is fetched when someone asks for it and kept for a few minutes at most, to avoid asking twice. Shumi doesn't keep her own copy.

What Shumi doesn't collect

  • Your messages. Shumi can't read message content: she only receives the slash commands you send her.
  • Voice, images or files. She doesn't join voice and doesn't accept uploads.
  • Anything for advertising, profiling or sale.

Who can see it

  • Command answers are visible only to you, except /shumi rank and /shumi top, which everyone in the channel can see.
  • Price alert pings are posted in the channel where you set the alert, so people in that channel see them.
  • Reputation files can be read by anyone in the server where they were filed, through Shumi or Maia.

Who else receives data

  • Discord: everything Shumi sends, as with any bot.
  • Google Gemini: for /shumi bless only, the scroll and item you typed, to write the good-luck line. Nothing else is sent to AI.
  • ClassicRank: the character name you look up.
  • maplestory.market, meowdb and maple.community: Shumi reads public game and market data from these sites. The item names in your questions may be part of those requests, but nothing about you is sent.

Each service handles data under its own privacy policy.

Keeping and deleting your data

  • /shumi alert cancel removes a price alert. All alerts end after 30 days.
  • Server moderators can clear a reputation file for an in-game name.
  • Email abuse@sudocat.dev to delete everything about you, or to have a reputation entry about you reviewed.
  • Removing Shumi from a server stops new data being collected there. Email us to delete what's already stored.

Children

Shumi is not meant for anyone under Discord's minimum age. If you believe a child's data was stored, email abuse@sudocat.dev and it will be deleted.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of each section shows the latest version, and continuing to use Shumi means you accept it.
